Wiring inside the old wand broke somehow which rendered the power head from working. Purchased the new ext.wand, plug in and it's back to work.

My vacuum model number as listed on the vacuum was wrong (I needed the Elite version and not the regular canister version as the model # suggested), and the SPD rep on the phone worked very hard to figure out the issue and determine the correct part. It arrived and works great!
