Needed modifications to work!
Bought this part for my mower model 247.38909. Quick, which is great, but when I got it, the first thing I noticed is that there were no holes to mount the steel adjuster plate on the side. So I had to drill holes in this part, then get out a Dremel to create enough clearance, and then cut a notch in the mounting tab on my deck to clear for the nut holding the plate onto the cover. It worked and I think it'll be fine, but this was clearly not a drop-in replacement as I expected. Contacted Sears about it and only got a bunch of no-help corporate speak. They offered me a 10% discount code for a future order and said this was the best they could do. Very much hope that I don't have to deal with them again.
