Freezer side was frosting and fresh food side was not cooling. The lower recirculating holes were frozen/frosted closed because dampener was stuck closed. It's only been a few days but this seems to have cured the problem.

The refrigerator side was not cooling and after troubleshooting I determined it to be the damper assembly. This was confirmed by using the refrigerator's onboard diagnostics. Sears had the exact part for the lowest price I could find online. Part came in 2 days and installed in about 20 minutes. Saved me big bucks by doing it myself.

Freezer side was working great but fridge side was getting warm . H1 code flashed and I diagnosed it from the internet to this part, I have a Frigidaire. Fixed my problem once replaced and cools better than is has in a while.

The portal to cold air works perfectly

I was able to lengthen the life of my Frigidaire Side by Side, and bring back that crispy chill to my foods and drinks by purchasing the freezer and fridge gaskets from Sears Parts Direct to replace the worn ones that were letting the cool air out. I was still getting an H-1 code on my fridge, and in my search on Youtube, I found a video and the the guy said I should replace the damper. I ordered the damper from Sears Parts, and wala, my refrigerator is now running better than ever. Thank you, Sears Parts Direct to maintain proper operating temperature.

Easy to Install and Saved Repair Costs

My husband said it was easy to install. By doing it ourselves we saved over $100 in repair costs. It took less than 30 minutes to install and our refrigerator is working great. The repairman that came out and told us is was the damper, said our freezer was too full, stuff pushed up against the back of the freezer and not letting air circulate would have most likely contributed to the damper going bad. Plus we have a lot of power surges/outages where we live.
