How to replace a caster wheel on your Ohio Steel rolling tool cart

  • Wear work gloves to protect your hands before beginning the repair.
  • Empty all tools out of the rolling tool cart.
  • Lay down cardboard behind the rolling tool cart to keep from scratching the rear cabinet panel as you lay the tool cart on its back.
  • Carefully lay the rolling tool cart on its back. Use a helper if necessary.
  • Remove the caster wheel mounting screws and pull off the broken caster wheel.
  • Install the new caster wheel and secure it with the mounting screws.
  • Stand the rolling tool cart upright. Use a helper if necessary.

Replacing a slide rail on the drawer in your Ohio Steel rolling tool cart

  • Wear work gloves to protect your hands while completing the repair.
  • Pull the drawer out and release the drawer slide locking tabs.
  • Pull the drawer out and lay it on a flat working surface.
  • Remove the slide rail mounting screws and pull the slide rail off the drawer.
  • Position the new slide rail on the side of the drawer and secure it with the mounting screws.
  • Reinstall the drawer in the rolling tool cart.
