Installing the hopper on your Worx chipper/shredder

  • Attach the hopper to the rotor housing. Make sure that you engage the metal lip of the hopper liner inside the rotor housing.
  • Secure the hopper to the rotor housing using the mounting bolts and washers. Don't tighten the mounting bolts at this time.
  • From inside the hopper, install the mounting bolts and washers into the upper lower holes of the metal hopper liner. Finger tighten the bolts at this time.
  • Make sure that the hopper is seated correctly on the chipper/shredder then tighten all mounting bolts firmly.

Shredding tips for your Worx chipper/shredder

  • Don't overload the shredder by dumping large amounts of material into the hopper opening all at once.
  • Alternate loads of wet and dry material to prevent the discharge path from becoming plugged.
  • Never use any object to force material into the shredding chamber. It could get caught in the shredding hammers and damage the unit.
  • Follow all operating and safety guidelines in the owner's manual for your chipper/shredder.
