Maintenance tips for your Halo upright vacuum cleaner

Empty the dirt container as needed when vacuuming so the container doesn't get overfilled with dirt and lint.

Periodically clean the dirt container thoroughly. Remove the lower portion of the dirt container by pressing down on the front latch on the upper portion of the container. Clean the screen with a cloth or soft brush to remove dust and debris from the screen. Wash the lower dirt container with warm water. Allow the lower dirt container to dry completely before reassembling the vacuum.

To reassemble the dirt container, hold the carry handle and position the upper portion of the dirt container into the lower portion. Line up the front and back latches. Push down on the upper portion of the container until both latches click into place. Reinstall the dirt container on the vacuum cleaner.

Clean the pre-motor filter monthly. Open the filter cover and remove the pre-motor filter. Remove the filter and wash it with water. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinstalling it. Reinstall the filter and close the filter cover.

Common replacement parts for Halo upright vacuum cleaners

  • Brush roll. The brush roll rotates to loosen dirt and debris so it's drawn into the vacuum.
  • Brush motor overload. The brush motor overload shuts off the brush roller motor if the motor overheats.
  • Brush roll drive belt. The brush roll drive belt connects the brush motor to the brush roller to rotate the brush roller during vacuuming.
  • Vacuum motor. The vacuum motor spins the vacuum fan blades to create the suction to remove dust and dirt from the carpet.
