Official Gladiator tool chest parts

Gladiator tool chests are convenient and effective for storing your tools while also providing easy access to the tools when you need them. Gladiator tool chests are rugged but parts can eventually wear out or break. When that happens, find the replacement parts you need to fix your Gladiator tool chest at Sears PartsDirect.

How to replace a caster wheel on your Gladiator tool chest

  • Wear work gloves to protect your hands before beginning the repair.
  • Empty all tools out of the tool chest.
  • Lay down cardboard behind the tool chest to keep from scratching the rear chest panel as you lay the tool chest on its back.
  • Carefully lay the tool chest on its back. Use a helper if necessary.
  • Remove the caster wheel mounting screws and pull off the broken caster wheel.
  • Install the new caster wheel and secure it with the mounting screws.
  • Stand the tool chest upright. Use a helper if necessary.

Common Gladiator tool chest replacement parts

  • Caster wheel. The caster wheel fits at the bottom of the tool chest and allows you to roll the tool chest to a different location. The caster wheel also has a locking mechanism that keeps the wheel from rolling when the lock is engaged.
  • Lock. The lock keeps the tool chest locked shut when you engage the lock using the key.
  • Key. The key locks and unlocks the locking mechanism on the tool chest to prevent unauthorized access to your tools.
  • Slide rail. The slide rail supports the storage drawer and allows the storage drawer to slide in and out so you can access tools in the tool chest.
