Troubleshooting for Danby dishwasher door problems
If your dishwasher's door drops so quickly that you find it hard to catch, chances are the door hinge spring is broken. This spring normally provides the tension needed to let the door sink down easily when you open the dishwasher. Even if only one door hinge spring is broken, you need to replace both so the two sides of the dishwasher door have equal spring tension applied.
If the dishwasher door pops open during the cycle, check the door latch assembly and door strike. You may be able adjust the door latch and strike to prevent the door from opening during the cycle. Replace the door latch if it's damaged.
