Parts and accessories that you'll need for your Foredom rotary tool

• Application tools. You'll need to replace missing, worn and damaged application tools that you need to complete projects. You may also need specialty application tools for projects which require unique tool action.
• Carbon motor brushes. Carbon motor brushes transfer electric current to the spinning armature in the motor. You'll need to replace carbon motor brushes when they wear down to ¼-inch in length.
• Trigger switch. The trigger switch starts and stops the rotary tool motor. Replace the trigger switch if it doesn't send current to the drive motor when you pull the trigger.
• Drive motor. The drive motor spins the chuck and rotary tool shaft to drive tools used on the work piece. Replace the drive motor if it doesn't run when it gets electrical current.

Work area safety guidelines to follow when using your Foredom rotary tool

• Work in a well-lit area so you can clearly see the work piece and the location of the application tool.
• Make sure that your work area is well-ventilated. Don't operate your rotary tool in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
• Keep children and bystanders away from the work area when operating the rotary tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control of the rotary tool.
• Wear work gloves to protect your hands and eye protection when using the rotary tool.
