Safely installing Seiko office equipment
Before installing office equipment, read the owner's manual and follow all safety precautions outlined in the manual. Gather tools need for unpacking, assembly and installation.
Carefully unpack the equipment. Use caution when cutting cardboard boxes using box cutters. Wears gloves to protect your hands when installing office equipment.
Follow assembly instructions carefully to make sure office equipment is safely and properly assembled. Tighten all fasteners firmly. Install all safety devices and labels.
Position the office equipment in an area away from extreme heat sources and sources of liquids such as water coolers and coffee makers. Leave proper clearance on all sides of the equipment to ensure proper air flow through control and operation components.
Use a surge protector to prevent equipment damage from power surges that can occur in electrical lines during storms.
Common Seiko printer error messages
- Access Denied. The printer feature that you want to use is restricted by a function lock. Disable the function lock to use the feature.
- Calibrate. The color calibration function failed. Turn the machine off and wait a few seconds, then turn it on again. Perform the color calibration function using the control panel. If the printer still won't calibrate the color, replace the belt unit.
- Cartridge Error. The toner cartridge isn't installed correctly. Remove the toner cartridge and install it correctly.
- Belt End Soon. The belt is nearly worn out. Install a replacement belt unit.
