Official Philips speaker parts

Philips manufactures speakers that are clear and powerful throughout the full audio range. Philips speakers match up nicely with any high-fidelity receiver or amplifier system. When you have a Philips speaker that needs repair, you'll find the replacement parts you need to fix the speaker at Sears PartsDirect.

Cleaning the woofers in your Philips speakers

  • Woofer speaker cones are delicate and easy to punch a hole through so use extreme care when cleaning woofers.
  • Remove the speaker grill. Carefully pull off the speaker grill. Loosen the mounting prongs on the top corners of the speaker by pulling the top edges of the grill out. Repeat the process to loosen the bottom mounting prongs. Carefully remove the speaker grill from the speaker cabinet.
  • Used canned air and a camera lens brush to carefully remove dust and debris from the woofer.
  • Reinstall the speaker grill.
  • Repeat the process to clean the woofer on the other speaker.

Top repair parts needed for Philips speakers

  • Tweeter. The tweeter is a speaker component that produces the clear, crisp high frequency sounds above 2kHz up to around 20kHz in the speaker.
  • Woofer. The woofer is a speaker component that produces bass sounds in the frequency range of about 50Hz-1kHz in the speaker.
  • Speaker grill. The speaker grill covers and protects the front of the speaker components while allowing sound to pass easily through the grill.
  • Speaker wire terminal. The speaker wire terminal attaches to the back of the speaker cabinet. The terminal has a spring loaded plug that allows you to connect speaker wires to the speaker.
