Poulan Electric chainsaws

Official Poulan electric chainsaw parts

Poulan manufactures powerful and dependable electric chainsaws. Poulan electric chainsaws are packed with safety features that help keep you from getting injured while cutting limbs and branches. When your Poulan electric chainsaw quits working, find the replacement parts you need to fix the problem at Sears PartsDirect.

Frequently-replaced parts in Poulan electric chainsaws

  • Oil pump cylinder. The chainsaw oil pump cylinder helps deliver oil to the oil pick-up hose.
  • Hand guard. The chainsaw hand guard protects your hand from the bar and chain and engages the chain brake if the hand guard moves forward.
  • Electric motor assembly. The chainsaw electric motor assembly rotates to spin the gear that operates the cutting chain.
  • Check valve. The chainsaw check valve prevents debris from entering the oiler line and allows oil to flow to the chain when you press the oiler bulb.

How to maintain your Poulan electric chainsaw

  • Inspect your chainsaw thoroughly before and after each use. Check for damage to the handle, grip and guards. Repair or replace any damaged parts before use.
  • Check the oil level in the oil reservoir before each use. Fill the reservoir with bar and chain oil. Refill the reservoir as needed to keep the bar and chain properly lubricated during cutting.
  • Maintain proper chain tension. Before each use and frequently during use, make sure the chain stays tight around the guide bar. A loose chain will cause rapid wear of the chain, chain bar and drive sprocket. Tighten the chain by turning the chain tensioning knob clockwise until it stops.
  • Keep the chain sharp. Dull teeth on the chain will rapidly wear down the sprocket, guide bar, chain and motor. Sharpen the chain when you must force the chain into the limb or log and the cutting attempt produces only fine sawdust with no large wood chips.
