Kenmore Bottom mount refrigerators

Official Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerator parts

Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerators are refrigerators with the freezer on the bottom. Whether they have one door on top or two, they are stylish additions to any kitchen. Spacious interiors and bright compartment lighting set Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerators apart from the competition. When your Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerator isn't working like it should, find the repair parts you need to fix the refrigerator at Sears PartsDirect.

How to fix your Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerator when you see the Er IF error code

The Er IF error code means that the control board detects a problem with the ice room fan.

  1. Unplug the refrigerator and safely store foods from the refrigerator and freezer.

Remove the freezer trays and pull off the freezer door. Remove the evaporator cover and check the wiring connections on the ice room fan. Reconnect any loose wires.

  2. If ice room fan wiring connections are okay, check for ice buildup around the ice room fan blades and defrost any ice build-up.
  3. If you find no ice build-up around the ice room fan blades, you'll likely need to replace the ice fan.

Top replacement parts for Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerators

  • Defrost sensor assembly. The defrost sensor assembly has the defrost thermistor that detects evaporator temperature and a fuse that shuts off the defrost heater to protect the evaporator from damage of overheating.
  • Evaporator fan. The evaporator fan blows air across the evaporator and through the refrigerator cabinet to cool foods.
  • Door switch. The door switch detects the position of the refrigerator door and controls the interior refrigerator lighting.
  • Compressor start relay. The compressor start relay sends current to the capacitor and compressor motor to start the compressor and cool the refrigerator.
