Kenmore Evaporative coolers

Official Kenmore evaporative cooler parts

Kenmore evaporative coolers have a reputation for dependability and top performance. Kenmore evaporative coolers rarely break down but parts can wear out over time. When your Kenmore evaporative cooler stops working as it should, find the repair parts you need to fix the cooler at Sears PartsDirect.

Troubleshooting your Kenmore evaporative cooler when it won't power up

  • Check the house circuit breaker for the evaporative cooler. Reset the house circuit breaker if it's tripped.
  • If the breaker isn't tripped, then a loose supply wiring connection could be preventing the evaporative cooler from getting power. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the evaporative cooler and check the supply wiring connections. Reconnect any loose wires and repair any broken wires.
  • If the supply wiring is okay, check for continuity through the power switch using a multimeter (with electrical power still disconnected from the evaporative cooler). Replace the power switch if your meter measures no continuity through the power switch when the switch is in the on position.

Common replacement parts for Kenmore evaporative coolers

  • Media pad. The media pad holds water absorbed from the reservoir. As the fan blows air across the media pad, cooled and moistened air circulates into the room.
  • Blower fan motor. The blower fan motor rotates the blower wheel to move air across the media pad and into the room for cooling.
  • Air filter. The air filter traps dust and debris from the incoming air.
  • Blower wheel. The blower wheel fits on the blower fan motor shaft and rotates to circulate air into the room for cooling.
