Safety instructions for your Kenmore space heater

  • Carefully follow all installation instructions to properly and safely install the space heater in a suitable location.
  • Only mount the heater in a vertical position. Don't attempt to mount the heater horizontally.
  • Mount the heater at least 6-inches above the floor and no closer than 12-inches from the adjacent wall.
  • Don't mount the heater over a bathtub or shower stall enclosure.
  • Don't block the wall heater by mounting it under a towel rack or behind a door.
  • Read and follow all operating and safety instructions in the owner's manual.

Replacing the fan motor in a Kenmore space heater

  • Unplug the space heater to disconnect electrical power. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during the repair.
  • Remove the fan cover mounting screws and pull the fan cover off.
  • Disconnect the fan motor wiring harness.
  • Remove the fan mounting screws and pull the fan out. Remove the fan blade from the motor shaft.
  • Install the fan blade on the new fan motor and mount the fan in the fan housing. Connect the fan wire harness to the fan motor.
  • Reinstall the fan cover and plug the fan power cord back into the electrical outlet to restore power to the fan.
