Official Kenmore vacuum cleaner parts

A freshly vacuumed floor always makes a room feel more welcoming. If you find, however, that your Kenmore vacuum cleaner is having trouble picking up dirt because the brush roller isn't spinning, you can fix the vacuum by replacing parts. Sears Parts direct has the Kenmore vacuum parts you need to fix any vacuum cleaner failure.

Most common parts Kenmore vacuum parts that need replacing

  1. Pre-motor filter. The pre-motor filter traps contaminants from air flowing to the vacuum motor.
  2. Vacuum fan motor. The vacuum fan motor rotates the fan blades to create suction in the vacuum cleaner.
  3. On/off switch. The on/off switch controls electrical power going to the vacuum cleaner.
  4. Vacuum collection bag. The collection bag holds the dust and dirt the vacuum cleaner collects.
  5. Beater bar assembly. The beater bar assembly rotates to loosen dirt and debris so it's drawn into the vacuum. It includes the bearings that fit into the ends of the beater bar.

Maintenance steps that you should perform on your Kenmore vacuum cleaner

  1. Empty the dirt container as needed when vacuuming so the container doesn't get overfilled with dirt and lint.
  2. Periodically clean the dirt container thoroughly. Remove the lower portion of the dirt container by pressing down on the front latch on the upper portion of the container. Clean the screen with a cloth or soft brush to remove dust and debris from the screen. Wash the lower dirt container with warm water.
  3. Allow the lower dirt container to dry completely before reassembling the vacuum.
  4. To reassemble the dirt container, hold the carry handle and position the upper portion of the dirt container into the lower portion. Line up the front and back latches. Push down on the upper portion of the container until both latches click into place. Reinstall the dirt container on the vacuum cleaner.
  5. Clean the pre-motor filter monthly. Open the filter cover and remove the pre-motor filter. Remove the filter and wash it with water. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinstalling it. Reinstall the filter and close the filter cover.
