Close the windows and doors in the room where you're using the portable air conditioner. When the exhaust hose is installed through a hole in the wall instead of a window, you'll need to leave a window or door cracked to leave a slight draught through the room.

• Thermistor. The thermistor is a temperature sensor in the air conditioner that sends information to the electronic control board.
