How to maintain your Craftsman toolbox and storage chests
- Lubricate caster wheel bearings annually using high quality bearing grease to keep the wheels rolling smoothly.
- Lubricate drawer slides with general purpose grease every six months to keep the drawers sliding smoothly.
- Lubricate the tool chest lock with graphite yearly.
- Periodically clean the drawer fronts, trim pieces and other tool chest surfaces with mild detergent and water. Rinse the surfaces with plain water and dry with a cloth.
- Clean drawer liners with soap and water periodically.
Safety precautions for using your Craftsman tool box and storage equipment
- Don't stand on any piece of tool storage equipment. You can fall or cause the equipment to tip over.
- Don't open more than one storage drawer at a time to prevent the tool storage equipment from tipping over.
- Don't mount the tool storage equipment in a truck bed or on any other moving object.
- Don't move the tool storage equipment prior to closing and locking all drawers and the chest lid. Drawers could slide open and make the equipment unstable when moving the product without locking the drawers shut.
