Most common replacement parts selected from the Coleman generator parts diagrams
- Carburetor. The carburetor mixes air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine.
- Digital spark advance module. The digital spark advance module optimizes engine performance by precisely controlling spark timing.
- Brush holder and rectifier assembly. The brush holder and rectifier assembly creates and delivers DC voltage to the rotor to create a stronger magnetic field, increasing and maintaining the AC voltage output.
- Circuit breaker. The circuit breaker stops the flow of electricity in the generator if an overload or short circuit occurs.
Troubleshooting your Coleman generator when no AC output current is available while the generator is running
Check the circuit breakers on the generator to see if a breaker tripped. Reset any tripped circuit breakers.
The device that you're trying to power up may be bad. Try plugging a different device into the generator.
Check the power cord for the device that you're trying to power. Replace the power cord or extension cord if it's frayed or damaged.
Shut off the generator and check wiring connections in the generator. Reconnect any loose wires and repair any broken wires.
