Top repair parts for Golds Gym steppers

  • Resistance motor. The resistance motor changes the distance of the C-magnet from the flywheel to adjust the pedal resistance.
  • Tension cable. The tension cable attaches to the C-magnet and adjusts the distance between the C-magnet and the flywheel to vary the resistance.
  • Reed switch. The reed switch detects a magnet attached to the rotating crank arm pulley to sense speed and sends the speed signal to the console.
  • Console. The console controls pedal resistance and displays time, distance, resistance level and other settings and readings.

Replacing the control console on your Golds Gym stepper

  • Remove the mounting screws from the console bottom.
  • Pull the control console up to access the wire harness plug on the bottom of the console. Release the wire harness plug locking tab and disconnect the console wire harness.
  • Position the new control console near the top of the console mounting frame and connect the console wire harness to the new control console.
  • Reinstall the console mounting screws to secure the new control console to its frame.
  • Install batteries in the new control console.
