Arvin Evaporative coolers

Official Arvin evaporative cooler parts

Arvin evaporative coolers have a reputation for dependability and top performance. Arvin swamp coolers rarely break down but parts can wear out over time. When your evaporative cooler stops working as it should, find the Arvin Air swamp cooler parts you need to fix the problem at Sears PartsDirect.

How to maintain your Arvin swamp cooler

  • Follow all maintenance guidelines covered in the owner's manual for your evaporative cooler. Use the media pads and filters listed in the owner's manual when replacing those parts.
  • Drain and clean the evaporative cooler weekly or as recommended in your owner's manual and clean the cooler with antimicrobial spray to prevent fungus growth.
  • Clean or replace the media pads in your evaporative cooler once per season or more frequently if needed.
  • Clean or replace the air filters monthly to keep clean air flowing through the evaporative cooler.
  • Blow dust and lint off the blower fan motor periodically to keep the fan running smoothly.

How to figure out which Arvin Air swamp cooler parts you need when your evaporative cooler won't power up

  • Check the house circuit breaker for the evaporative cooler. Reset the house circuit breaker if it's tripped.
  • If the breaker isn't tripped, then a loose supply wiring connection could be preventing the evaporative cooler from getting power. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the evaporative cooler and check the supply wiring connections. Reconnect any loose wires and repair any broken wires.
  • If the supply wiring is okay, check for continuity through the power switch using a multimeter (with electrical power still disconnected from the evaporative cooler). Replace the power switch if your meter measures no continuity through the power switch when the switch is in the on position.
