Not the easiest installation, but did the trick
Took a few hours to install the new ignitor on our 48 inch cooktop indoor grill. You have to completely disassemble the grill piece by piece, which is not terribly difficult if all the screws and nuts are not frozen up. (take photos as you go). One screw holding my old ignitor in place was so tight it stripped while trying to loosen it, so I had to use a hand grinder to grind off the screw head. (The 2 bolts that hold the actual ignitor in place you'll need a screwdriver with a tip like a socket wrench to loosen the backing nut. You won't be able to get a wrench to hold the nut in there). So that meant a trip to the hardware store for some new stainless bolts and lock nuts just the right size. The wires to the ignitor are routed under the gas cooktop on the left then plugged in behind the face plate of the cooktop where the knobs are located. Once you get the knobs off (pull straight out) there are 2 screws underneath holding the faceplate on. Wires are easily accessible. A lot of the time I spent was degreasing all the grill parts before reassembling. If you have the right tools and patience, it can be a DIY job, but it's by no means a quick one.
