Reviews

better than the original
June 24, 2019

It only takes about 10 minutes but despite 5 attempts with Sears to get the original carbwrator fixed (which has not worked since its purchase new last August). I decided to just order a new one and then I will rebuild the old one for a spare. Upon removal of the old one i found out that its failure was due to an internal diaphragm gasket tear from the factory which would always cause it to flood out after a very short time i also replaces the tank just so i could get new fuel lines and pickup. The trimmer now works better than it did when i purchased it. While Sears warranty and customer support is awful the parts are easy to install and not too overpriced although it should ua e coat nothing and been a warranty covered issue. I love the way the trimmer works now although given the lack of warranty and support I will never buy another craftsman trimmer even though I have used craftsman for decades I can't justify buying a product that the manufacturer would not support. If you are a do ot yourself person I noticed a number of these on line for sale with the same problem if you can get one cheap enough I would recommend getting one and buying a new carburetor to essentially make a new trimmer.
