relatively easy to install
had to remove the air tube which shuts off the compressor at 150 psi. use flare nut wrenches and pipe tape on fittings. glad i bought a new one instead of trying to fix the old one.

Air Compressor Regulator
The air compressor that I replaced the regulator on was about 15 years old. However, I may have actually used the compressor about 10 times each year, so that's about 150 times. The threads on the regulator shaft stripped. I my opinion, the threads should not have stripped in about 150 cycles. Having said all of this, the new regulator installed very easy and seems to work very well the three times I have used the compressor.

Regulator replaced on Craftsman air compressor.
Exact part match on this older model that has long been discontinued. Arrived in average shipping time and installed in 5-10 mins. I can now adjust my pressure as needed for nail guns vary in pressure from framer to sheeting and siding.
