Install in proper order
The product was exactly what I needed. Much better, and just a little more expensive, than trying to piece together old, worn parts with a new wheel bearing. Craftsman will indeed sell only the bearing, but it is very hard to install because of a compression spacer and a snap ring (requiring a special tool.) Through trial and error, I found the proper order to install the new height adjuster, which includes a pre-installed new bearing. (see YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiT8mlHceWA.) Disassembly of old adjuster: 1. Remove wheel (if you have a new wheel, you won't need this) 2. Remove gear by removing C-clip (save them for later) 3. Remove Pin, it has a head and only comes out one way (save Pin for later) Notes: Mark or take note of direction. Pin has pressure from compressed spacer, so it will be difficult to remove. You might try compressing the spacer. This problem is noted in the video. 4. Remove plastic cover and washer (save them for later)) 5. Unscrew old adjuster from lawnmower (2 nuts under mower, save them for later) Note: One nut is close to the transmission. As you unscrew, you might have to pull the old adjuster out a little to remove this nut. Assembly 1. Install Pin from step 3 above. Notes: Try to use the same direction as in step 3, but it might not matter. There might be pressure, so it might involve some compression. This problem is noted in the video. 2. Install adjuster using nuts from step 5 above. Note: Start both nuts with new adjuster pulled out a little, then tighten both. 3. Install plastic cover (and washer) from step 4 above 4. Install gear using C-clip from step 2 above. 5. Install wheel

It was the wrong side
I didn't check the reviews before I bought this part and apparently I bought the wrong side, like the other did. So I just took them both apart and used what I needed. Took me forever. Could've been easier if it was the right side.

Part # Does not match diagram.
#41 is actually the front left and #35 is front right. If you look at the physical picture of the item you will see they have them flipped. But I called to get the right part sent to me and they let me keep the adjuster. So I now have new height adjusters on left and right.

Wrong part # listed in manuals expanded drawing
The left and right side height adjuster part #'s are reversed. Instead of returning the item, I decided to go ahead and install it and just ordered the opposite side. I read a review of another customer who reported the same issue. Would be nice if they would fix the drawing for future customers.

Was easy to install
Took a few minutes to install, same as replaced. Nice to have level mow and not have to remow area to get level. No more wire to try and tie all parts together.
